about the Studio

Magnum Studios stands to continue the legacy of the late great Tony Clarkin and his band Magnum. With 23 Studio Albums under their belt, Tony's ethos was to always look to the future and to create and share new music for the world the hear.

Following Tony's untimely death in 2024 his daughter Dionne alongside her business partner Ed opened Magnum Studios to continue the legacy and welcome musicians to create and share new music in a warm and welcoming state-of-the-art studio.

With a full digital setup alongside a traditional analogue outboard setup with 16 channel reel-to-reel tape machine, the studio has been designed meticulously to offer the best in facilities to suit the vary needs of clients.

Our TEAM

Dionne Clarkin

Director & Co-Manager of Magnum

Dionne has been involved in the music business her whole life. Daughter of the late Tony Clarkin, songwriter and guitarist of Magnum, Dionne has first hand experience in each and every part of managing a successful band including recording and publishing, live tours and merchandising.

Dionne takes care of Magnum's affairs including organising tours whilst forming Magnum Music Productions Ltd with her business partner Ed in 2024.

ED Cutler

Director, Studio Engineer & Co-Manager of Magnum

Ed who plays guitar, flute and drums started as many do with a small home studio working with both digital and analogue recording methods. In 2024 Ed joined Dionne in forming Magnum Music Productions Ltd and opening Magnum Studios.

Ed Is one of the engineers at Magnum Studios whilst also co-managing the band Magnum including taking on the role of tour manager.

Perfectly designed for capturing a quality sounding drum recording. Bring your own kit or use ours.

Isolation booth

Designed for recording isolated vocals and instruments including amp cabs.

Large control Room

With mixing desk and plenty of space for the whole band to participate in the recording process.

Latest hardware

We operate using a brand new state of the art M4 Mac with Antelope 32 in/out audio interface.

Latest Software

We have both Logic Pro and Pro Tools and a huge selection of plug-ins.

Analogue recording

We have a fully working 16 Track Tascam Reel-to-Reel tape machine and plenty of analogue outboard gear too.

£30 per Hour

including recording engineer

Use of our studio facilities including on-site equipment and instruments and provision of an experienced recording engineer to operate the hardware, mixing desk and recording software to capture your sounds.

Stems supplied after session on USB drive. Minimum of 5 hours per booking.

Mixing a Track

£90 per track

including 2 revisions

With stems recorded at our studio or supplied to us from external recordings, our engineer will craft a sonically pleasing mix of your song based on your vision / sound inspiration.

After your first listen, if required our engineer will carry out 2 sets of revisions based on your comments, without any extra cost.

Mastering a Track

£45 per track

including 2 revisions

With a song mixed at Magnum Studios or externally, our engineer will get to work on creating a sonically pleasing master of your track ready for release to the world.
